We are a London based candle apothecary, with a second studio situated in Wales.

Our journey began with just two individuals, and over the span of a few years, we've evolved into a close-knit team of six. With a footprint in both London and Wales, our passion for creating art and producing the finest quality candles drives our daily endeavors.

The Roots
Apollo Ipsum, founded in 2018 by Raymond and Apollo, marks our foray into the realm of candle-making. Driven by a vision to ignite a scented revolution in the traditional world of home scents, we established our inaugural candle workshop at Desmond Street, New Cross, London. Our distinct desire was to craft unconventional, emotionally-driven candles that narrate captivating stories through fragrance.
Ingredients
Our candles are made from 100% natural soy wax (renewable, sustainable resource, phthalate free) which is locally sourced. Unlike paraffin candles, soy wax contains no toxins, pollutants or carcinogens. Soy wax is longer lasting so you can enjoy our hand poured candles for longer. Some of our candles are also vegan friendly, so they make a great gift for everyone. Our ethos promotes clean, therefore we do not add colourants or artificial dyes. To ensure quality control, we pour our candles in small batches in our home studio in Kent.
